Esh Family Music

UPDATED! The Esh Family Website no longer sells CDs recorded by the Esh Family, though you can get track previews and a telephone number to call and order any available CDs.

The Esh Family was involved in a fatal highway accident on March 26, 2010 while on their way to a funeral in Iowa. A tractor trailer truck crossed the grass median and blasted through a cable barrier and hit their 15 passenger van head on around 5:30 in the morning. The truck driver was killed as well as 10 people in the Esh's van. Two adopted sons strapped in their car seats in the back seat of the van were pulled out by another truck driver who came on the scene. Both of them are doing fine.

This was not the first time the Esh Family experienced a tragedy like this one. Several years ago their brother Johnny was killed in a snowmobile accident in the Ukraine. The song "Home" was written shortly after that accident. In 2009 the family narrowly escaped a nightime house fire that destroyed their home.

Several thousand people visited both the family visitation and funeral services held in Maribone, Kentucky.

Kevin Shenk of the Tidings of Peace Mennonite Church in York, PA contacted the church leaders of the Esh Family and asked if he could set up a website for the Esh Family to sell the CDs they have recorded over the years. Permission was granted and the site was made live on April 1, 2010. On July 16, 2010 Kevin Shenk sent out an email stating that the CDs would no longer be available online.

On The Esh Family Website you can still find the albums they recorded and have the ability to preview the songs from the CDs and get a phone number to call and order CDs.
